Each fall, the Camp Blount Historic Site Association welcomes visitors to the annual Volunteer Days hosted at the site. This living history event grew out of the organization's initial 2013 public event, which introduced the public to the future educational potential of the Camp Blount Historic Site. Each annual event is held over two days, with the Friday portion reserved for local schools and Saturday open to the general public. Volunteer Days is, and always will be, a free family-friendly event. While demonstration offerings vary from year to year, core components of the festival event feature cannon and gun firings, a preview into early American frontier life and soldier camps, speakers, and period music.
Details for the 2024 event, including times and offered demonstrations, are found in the image to the right. While the grounds are open to the public on the "School Day," visitors must be aware that hundreds of students may also be present at any given time.
